ballerina {columbus photographer}

I have been wanting to do a ballerina portrait session with my daughter for quite a while. I also had a chance this week to work on some natural light techniques and I thought the natural light would be a perfect fit. We had a lot of fun. I let her bounce on the bed to get some movement in the tutu for some of the images. This is usually a big no-no in our house so of course she loved it. My son joined in to help bring out giggles. Nothing makes my daughter laugh like her big brother.

When I was processing these portraits I considered touching up the scrap on my daughter's left knee and cleaning the paint ans marker off her hands. Then I realizes that these are a part of who she is at this age. She love's painting and drawing. She could make pictures for hours and sometimes does. She's also a little clumsy like her mommy was as a little girl. I wouldn't change a thing about her so I love the memories these little details will bring.
